Galactic Zookeeper

He spent sixteen years surviving the deadliest animals on the Frontier. Now he keeps them. Duncan Steele, ex-special-forces commander, runs the best alien zoo on the Frontier and flies the Pegasus, a mobile wildlife hospital, to worlds nobody else will touch. Every world has a creature worth the trip, and every creature on his manifest has one trick he can use in a fight, an escape or a con. Duncan doesn't fight fair. He fights with the zoo. On the way he meets women worth the trip too: a station owner who never forgot him, an alien scientist who won't share a data point until he earns it, a storm pilot who'd rather crash than admit he's better. A fast, funny, spicy sci-fi adventure for adult readers, with a rude bird who steals every scene.
