Gus Rowan

Gus Rowan has always been the support.

Growing up in Albuquerque, he was Player Two: the second controller, the worse character color, the kid who grabbed the health and kept his older brother alive through every co-op beat-'em-up on the shelf. Nobody remembers Player Two. Player One doesn't finish without him.

He carried that into twenty years as a touring stagehand and guitar tech, the guy in black who takes a broken guitar, fixes it, and hands the singer the right one at the right second. On the long overnight drives between shows he read isekai, LitRPG and superhero stories by the stack, and the guy in the back room was always missing.

So he writes him. F-Rank Support Academy is about the support guy a whole academy writes off. Superpower Broker is about the man every hero in the city has to come to when a power goes wrong.

Gus lives in a small town east of Nashville with his girlfriend, who reads every fight scene, and Encore, a desert tortoise who escapes into the neighbor's tomatoes every summer. When he isn't writing, he's losing at bowling, smoking ribs, or fixing an arcade cabinet that has worked for eleven days total.
