Lucan Graves

Lucan Graves grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a short walk from a video-rental store where he rented the same fantasy RPG so many weekends in a row that the clerk started holding it behind the counter for him. He never once rooted for the hero.

He went on to spend about fifteen years writing advertising and marketing copy, making cereal sound heroic and insurance sound thrilling. Nights and weekends, he ran the same tabletop campaign for nearly twenty years. His players say his villains are the best part, and they mean it as a complaint. He also plays villains in community theater, where he has been murdered on stage four times and booed at curtain call twice.

Replaying the RPGs of his childhood, he noticed the villain always had the best castle, the best music and the worst marketing department in the kingdom. As a professional, he couldn't let it go. *Infamy* is the story of a villain who finally gets the right guy for the job.

Lucan writes full time from a small lake town in Wisconsin, where his wife reads every first draft and Baron, a large black cat, knocks his pens off the desk while holding eye contact.
